Florian Szwebel

I started skiing at 18 mo. old in my home ski area of Winter Park, CO. My perfect day on the mountain starts with a warm-up down Outhouse Trees, preferably in 3 or 4 feet of fresh powder and then over to my favorite mogul and tree rus in the “Jane.” After the freshies, go train slalom on Hughes.

I started competitive racing as a J5 and won the Slalom Finals in 2007. Since then, I have been selected for the USSA-Rocky Mountain Development Team every year. In my second year as a J4 I was ranked 3rd in Colorado. I qualified for the J4 Junior Olympics in ’08 and ’09 and just missed the podium with my 4th place finish in Slalom this year.

My dream is to ski in the Olympics, the World Cup circuit and hopefully with the Crystal Globe.
